We like to sing this Akathist, also called the Akathist of Thanksgiving, on the morning of Thanksgiving. It was written by a Russian Orthodox priest shortly before he died while in a Gulag prison camp in Siberia. It is very moving to see his deep gratitude to God in the midst of such terrible suffering.
